Dear Sir,
Re: Grant Vortex 15-26 System Oil Boiler
Please can you tell me the difference between a kitchen model and a utility model of the above boiler.
I understand that the kitchen model has an enhanced control panel and has a different casing. Does the kitchen model have better sound insulation. I also understand that the pipework arrangement is simpler on the utility model. What does this mean?
Kind Regards

The only differences between the Kitchen and Utility models are the casing and controls. The rest of the boiler, including the pipework (regardless of what it say in the brochure!), are identical on both models.
As you rightly sumise, the Kitchen model features better sound insulation making it suitable for installation in a kitchen or other similar internal room where as the Utility model would normally be installed in a garage, utility or boiler room. The control panel on the Kitchen model features enhancements over the Utility like the Diagnostic Lights and the option of an electronic Programmer.
