Monday see’s a number of manufacturer spares price increases, among which are a couple of popular items that get a larger than average rise that we would like to specifically advise you on.

The following manufacturers are having a price increase as of Monday (2/4/2012):

• Ferroli
• Grant
• Ravenheat
• Riello
• Sime

The following popular Riello items are having a Part Number change and a fairly large price increase. The prices shown are the Riello list price:

• Hydraulic Ram Short – 3006911 @ £21.75+ changes to 3020500 @ £51.12+
• Hydraulic Ram Long – 3006499 @ £31.17+ changes to 3020444 @ £45.55+

We still have stock of both items under the current part number and these will stay at the 2011 price while stock lasts.

Vaillant across all it’s brands had a spares increase on the 1/3/2012 of on average 3.5%, there were unfortunately a few oddities on some of the Saunier Duval branded item. For context, here hasn’t been a price increase on the Saunier Duval brand for at least 3 years (the oldest price list I still have is January 2009). Although the majority of the items have seen the same 3.5% rise, there are some that haven’t gone up at all, but also some that have seen rises between 10-475%. Among the items that have seen the larger price rises are a number of popular selling ones, and having received several queries about the new prices we wanted to bring this to you attention.

Some of these items, most notably the 3 Way Valve Cartridge and Motor have moved in line with their Glow-Worm equivalents. The comment from Vaillant on the others is to do with the high cost due to low volume that they are purchasing.
